If you have missed our video tea cocktail series, we want to give you the opportunity to see the recorded episodes. We also wanted to share the recipes for the these amazing tea based cocktails. And you can prepare them as mock-tails as well. The first one in our series is the Strawberry Ginger Mojito.
Ingredients for Strawberry Ginger Mojito
- 1 tbsp of sweet ginger tea steeped in 5 oz of hot water for 8 min. Use at room temperature
- 1 tsp of chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 oz of spiced rum
- 1.5 oz ginger ale
- 4 medium strawberries , quartered plus 1 for garnish
- 12 leaves of fresh mint, plus 1 for garnish
Place chopped ginger in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add quartered strawberries, mint leaves and muddle again. Add ice, brown sugar, tea and rum. Shake vigorously to combine. Strain into double old fashioned glass over fresh ice. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with remaining strawberry and mint leaves.
